Michelle P. Wan, M.D., RDMS, Board Member

Dr. Michelle Wan is a board member of H.E.R.O. who recently served as the Vice President and has been a volunteer of the organization since 2002. She has participated in more than a dozen relief missions and is the founder of the H.E.R.O Student Program, which gives aspiring health-care professionals the opportunity to experience the medical field from a different perspective while contributing to the development of underserved populations. Michelle graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency and Fellowship at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Wan is currently the CEO & Owner of BodyFitMD, P.C. She works as an Emergency Medicine Attending Physician at DeKalb Emergency Physicians, where she is the Associate Medical and Ultrasound Director. Throughout her career as a healthcare professional, Dr. Wan has provided exemplary service for which she has been recognized with numerous awards and commendations, including the 2010 Resident Physician Community Service Award; 2013 Physician of The Year Award from the DeKalb Medical Center Emergency Department in Georgia; and the 2014 Culture of Caring Award by the CEP-America Spring Symposium in Chicago.
